About the Journal

Brazilian Journal of High Abilities/Giftedness is an electronic publication of the Brazilian Council for Giftedness, with free and open access for all, authors and readers. Created in 2013, the Magazine aims to disseminate research in the form of articles, literature reviews, essays, reports on professional practice experiences, interviews and reviews, with the aim of collaborating with the performance and training of professionals who work with people. , children, adolescents, adults and seniors with high abilities/giftedness.

The Journal receives the originals for publication in continuous flow. Once received, the articles will be forwarded to the review process (peer review) between the members of the Editorial Board or the specialized scientific community, in a double system of anonymous review (blind review), that is, both the names of the reviewers and the authors will remain confidential. The opinions expressed by the authors of the works are the sole responsibility of their authors.

Brazilian Journal of High Abilities/Giftedness aims to expand and improve the state of knowledge in the area of high abilities or giftedness in different fields of knowledge, as observed and documented by professionals and academics in each area. Covering multiple disciplines such as educational psychology, curriculum and instruction, teacher education, educational leadership, active learning methodologies, Special Education. The Brazilian Journal of High Skills/Superdotation presents the work of researchers from different backgrounds. It especially values articles that offer insights into authors' research processes at different stages of development. By accepting different forms of academic writing, the Journal offers scholars and professionals in the field of high abilities or giftedness and talents, opportunities to publish their work.

Brazilian Journal of High Abilities/Giftedness aligns with ConBraSD's mission by emphasizing contributions that seek to improve education and social systems. Its objective is to promote more effective, equitable and socially just practices for educators and professionals in the development of talents, high abilities or giftedness. The Journal encourages perspectives from various theoretical lenses and local communities. In addition, it actively promotes collaboration and relationships between authors and colleagues, creating a space for the exchange of wisdom, innovation and creativity. By its open access nature, the journal ensures that it remains a valuable resource for current and future professionals.

Manuscripts submitted for evaluation with a view to publication must observe originality, not being submitted to another vehicle for dissemination simultaneously, not contain plagiarized texts, which may judge the submitted authorship, observe the thematic scope of the Journal and follow the guidelines for editorial formatting as per the 7th edition of the APA (American Psychological Association)
